Anchors: For Young Adults
Anchors premiered Saturday night, January 25, and over 200 guests attended. The energy of the night started strong and didn't end until the last conversation slowly filtered out. Chef James served Mexican fare, and a coffee and smoothie bar offered refreshing drinks.
Hosted by Pastor Jeff Perry, the evening dedicated itself to the scripture found in Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Fun and laughs were had by all, but most notable was the presence of a desire to get involved. Young people ranging in age from eighteen to their thirties committed Saturday night
to finding friends and growing in God, as Pastor Jeff shared his vision to reach the world and this young adult generation with the message of Jesus. He talked about how we all need peopleanchorsin our lives to keep us steady.
After the meeting, attendees laughed and chatted over sopapillas and churros. One attendee, Sarah, commented that the night "really made us feel like VIPs . . . very posh and edgy. We loved it! And the food was delicious!" The evening definitely had the right vibe to it. If you haven't been to Anchors yet, come be our guest Saturday, July 26.
